Dinosaur Park

We decided to make the long trip to Ogden again this year to go to the Dinosaur Park. It is such a long drive but I think it was worth it. The boys had a lot of fun.

Do you notice that Sam has copied Danny's face...surprise.

These are 2 of my favorite pictures, especially the first one. This is how they act 90% of the time.

Ruffle pants

I have been loving the cute ruffle pants that I have been seeing on little girls. I decided instead of paying $40 or more, I would make some.
They have lots of cute patterns for $10 but I figured I would make up my own for much cheaper.
So I found a pattern for simple girl pants at Hobby Lobby for only $1.
I cut out the pants from the pattern but left off a few inches from the bottom.
Then, I cut out the ruffle fabric, gathered it, and sewed it onto the bottom of the pants.
I also added some ricrac on top of the seam.
Here is the finished product (I also bought a shirt from target and appliqued some fabric on it for a pumpkin):

I think she likes them.

What Boys and Girls are made of

Snips and snails,
And puppy dog tails,
That's what little boys are made of.

Sugar and spice,
And all things nice,
That's what little girls are made of.

Love this Baby Face

Ohhhhh! I know I shouldn't be letting Sarah suck her thumb but it is so cute. She loves to suck her thumb.
Feeding is going so much better! She loves baby food and is taking bottles. I guess I should have mentioned (when I was complaining and whining about her refusal to take a bottle) I was only trying formula. I really didn't want to pump because I hate it but I decided to try it anyway. Well she took it with no problem so I pumped quite a bit so we can leave her. Woo hoo!

Ohhh! I love that sweet face.

Just out of the bath.

I ran to the bathroom to get Sarah a diaper after her bath (I am not quite sure why I didn't just put her in her room with the diapers) and I came back to Danny laying next to her. It was so cute.

Patrick and Kimberly

Last Friday, my brother Patrick proposed to his girlfriend, Kimberly.
When I first heard that he was going to pop the question, I screamed, I was so happy.
I have always thought Patrick deserved the perfect girl. He is such a wonderful person. He is so patient and understanding.
I never thought he would find someone good enough for him but he did.
I just love Kimberly.
She just sits and plays with my kids. If you have kids, you know how much that means. She is so sweet. I honestly can't think of one thing I don't like about her.
And I LOVE WEDDINGS!!!
Every time someone in my family proposes or gets proposed to, we have a party that night. We have family and friends over and celebrate. If you look closely at the first picture, you will notice that my mom spent days getting ready for this. She loves to celebrate.
Patrick had Kimberly's parents fly in from Kansas and she had no idea. Her mom spent the whole day helping my mom decorate. Then we were waiting at my parents house for Pat and Kimberly to arrive. It was so cute because Kimberly called her mom and told her that Patrick proposed and her mom and dad said that they wished they could be there.

Then Kimberly walked into my parents house and her Dad answered the door. She just cried and hugged her parents, which made me cry.
In fact I was crying the entire day because I was so excited for them.
Plus I helped Patrick pick up the flowers, decorate my house (where he proposed) and I made a video for her of the 2 of them.
Patrick asked me if rose petals was overkill and I went on and on about how of course that is not overkill and this is just the beginning of their life together and you can never do too much...
and then I almost started crying again so I stopped talking.
As you can tell, my parents are thrilled, to say the least. I am so excited to have a new sister. She invited me to look at reception centers and we are going to look at wedding dresses too! I can't wait!

Fun Summer part 1

This summer has been one of the best I have ever had. We have had so much fun. I have enjoyed it so much. I have so many pictures so here are some of them:

I love where we live. We can go to the lake and ride boats whenever we want. It is so close, we can just walk there.

July 24th

Fireworks with the cousins.

My niece, Jane was so excited whenever I gave her a cracker. It was funny. And I couldn't forget cute little Sarah!

Danny has always been afraid of fireworks. He was standing behind the car most of the time.

This was Brian and I at dinner, the night Lil went through the temple. What a wonderful night.

The kids. This is about the best I could get.

Zipline, fireworks, and glow sticks at Brian's aunt and uncle's house.
