Christmas parties

I love Christmas and I love Christmas parties...even if we have 12 (off the top of my head).

Danny's Preschool Chirstmas Program

Santa!! Danny was so cute. He sang all of the songs so well!

Polar Express

My dad took the grandkids (and their parents) on the Heber North Pole Express. It was so much fun. We loved it.

My parents with their grandkids.

Cannon's Downtown

Our annual night downtown with my family. We saw Tangled (I loved it!), saw Santa, ate downtown, and opened Christmas pj's and stayed at the Marriot. VERY busy but still so much fun!

Christmas pj's!

Pillow fight!

Ross Christmas Party

Sam wasn't so excited about Santa. This 1st picture makes me laugh.

I guess Sarah isn't too fond of Santa either.

How Can We Be Lovers - Michael Bolton

This was the entertainment that Brian and I had tonight. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. You HAVE to watch this at least 5 times. My favorite parts are the drummer, the guy in the hot pink sport coat, how much passion Michael puts into the video, and at 3:09 when he is walking. Oh and I also love how him and the girl are suddenly laughing together.

School Pictures

I love school pictures. These were actually taken on the day after Danny's class pictures. I remember waking up in the middle of the night and realizing that school pictures had been taken that day and I had totally forgotten. You should have seen what Danny was wearing. It was awful and his hair was bushy. He usually looks nice for school but I was a little stressed that day (obviously...I forgot they were taking pictures). Anyway, I called the school the next day and they said I could bring him in for pictures with the other class. So I ran and got the boys haircuts(which were WAY too short) and got their pictures taken.

I decided to get Sam's picture too. I love it.

With the exception of Adam Levine

I am not the type of girl who likes it when a guy sings to her.
In fact, I hate it. It is SO akward and makes me really uncomfortable.

When I was in high school, I had a big crush on this cute guy. I even got a ride with him in his car to our friends house. I was so excited.
Then it happened.
We were listening to music.
It all happened so fast I didn't even get a chance to react.
He started singing to me in the car.
I froze. My eyes went wide.
This wasn't the joking, having fun singing.
This was the I am trying to sing my heart to you, please look at me, I am going to try to get you to look at me, why aren't you looking at me singing.
I didn't know what to do. I just stared straight ahead and didn't look at him. In fact I don't think I was even breathing.
Well, after about a minute of that, he turned the music off and got mad at me because I didn't look at him while he was singing to me. I think that was the last time we talked to each other.

From then on, I have continued to cringe when a guy sings to me or even if I see a guy singing to another girl.

Until one day I was listening to the Coffeehouse station on satellite radio and I heard ADAM LEVINE ( from Maroon 5) singing an accoustic version of Misery.
At that point I realized that I wouldn't mind him singing that song to me. Ok I will be honest, I think I would melt. NOT that I was imagining him singing to me or anything...
Wow Adam, you did it. Your beautiful voice has cured me of this ridiculous fear. You can sing it to me anytime you want. Maybe wait till the kids go to bed so I don't hear them screaming in the background.
Also when you are done with Misery, could you also sing Sunday Morning for me?

Now take a moment to listen to this song. You won't regret it.

Why did Michael Jackson die, Mom?

Danny keeps asking me why Michael Jackson died. I started explaining it to him and then it got really complicated and I realized I didn't want to get into why people take pills. Now he won't stop talking about it. I guess that is what happens when your kids dance to Michael Jackson music videos everyday. There is bound to be lots of questions asked. Any suggestions?

I am so thankful

There are so many things that I am blessed with:

Danny throroughly enjoyed decorating the tree as always. He even commented on how MAGNIFICENT it looked.

I am thankful that the Utes pulled it together and blocked that dang kick so that we could beat BYU. It was totally worth my frozen toes during the game.

Sarah update

So I took Sarah to her 9 month appointment and the doctor was nervous because she wasn't crawling yet. In fact she wasn't even getting up on her knees.
So I called Babywatch through the school district and they came out to evaluate her. Everything looked good except for the fact that she screamed every time I put her up on her knees and didn't try to pull up on anything at 10 months (by the time they came out).
The therapist taught me some things to work on, like having her kneel up against a couch cushion and playing with toys. We also like to put a blanket on our heads and she pulls it off and we yell peek a boo!
Now she is 10 1/2 months and she is doing much better. She doesn't mind being on her knees and will even get on her hands and knees and try to crawl a little (even though she ends up going backwards just a few inches).

At first I was frustrated because Danny went through a similar program but he was older and had more problems.
I remember thinking what is wrong? why are my kids so behind?
But Danny is doing so well and he has improved so much and Sam hasn't had a problem at all. If Sarah is a few months behind in crawling, I am sure she will be just fine. If that is the biggest problem she has, WE ARE SO LUCKY.
Sarah is happy to just sit and not move :)

HALLOWEEN!!

Halloween was a blast this year. There were 4 Halloween parties this year so I have way too many pictures. Sorry.

So I think all of the costumes are obvious...except for mine. I thought a lot of people would be able to tell what I was because of the marks on my arm but NOBODY has read City of Bones. Everyone thought I was Lara Croft from Tomb Raider. No I was a shadowhunter. I kill Demons...just read the Mortal Instruments series ok?

Cute little butterfly Sarah. I need to get a better picture of the butterfly's that I sewed onto her shirt. It turned out so cute! The boys had more fun answering the door and passing out treats than anything else.

Danny with his pumpkin and Sam with his mad face. He did not want his picture taken.

CANNON FAMILY HALLOWEEN PARTY

Whitney (in the blue dress) is one of the step sisters from Cinderella. She made Sophie's wedding dress! It was so cute!

Haha. Patrick totally use to dress in these clothes when he was in high school. Good thing he joined a fraternity and they straightened him out. I had my gun ready for any funny business.
I love Tim (Popeye) and Patrick's girlfriend's. They are so fun.

Danny convinced us all to play Twister. That was fun.

CARVING PUMPKINS

Danny with Grandpa Paul. Thank you Paul for carving 1 for Danny and 1 for me. I was SO not in the mood for carving pumpkins. Probably because I had to finish a dress for Sarah for family pictures and was a little stressed.

Grandma Janell with Sam.

Aunt Kellie and Uncle Ty helping Sam carve his wittow pumpkin.

Witches Night Out

Every year a bunch of girls from our neighborhood dress up as witches and have a party. There were so many witches there! It was so much fun. I was laughing so hard the entire night.

DELTA GAMMA HALLOWEEN PARTY

SO MUCH FUN!
