Potty Training Emergency!

So we took Danny to a specialist the other day and he recommended that we put him in preschool to help his social skills. Most preschools start in the next couple of weeks. So we have been looking for a preschool and we just realized that he has to be potty trained! I am going to try it this weekend. He has done it before, just not consistently. So I am going to have to focus on that and only that this weekend. I really hope it works. Any advice?

Abby and Nate

About 4 years ago Brian and I worked hard to set up my best friend, Abby with his best friend, Nate. On July 19th they got married and it was such a fun day!

Happy Birthday Alex!

Yesterday was my brother Alex's birthday. Yes, that is 3 birthday's in a row. It was a very fun week. Danny was so excited to have 3 birthday parties in a row. I think he is partied out though. I think we are all sick from all the cake, ice cream and pie.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my Mom's birthday! She is so amazing. There are 8 kids in my family and I don't know how she does it. I am not going to tell you how old she is but I will say that she looks and acts half her age. If I looked like her when I was her age I would be thrilled.

The Carnival

The other day we went to the carnival with some of my aunts, cousins, and their kids. It was so fun.

After the 2nd ride, I took my eye off of Danny for 1 second and I turned around and he was gone. I looked around and couldn't see him anywhere so we all split up and went looking for him. We were all running, searching everywhere, and we had no idea where he was. At this point I got that sick feeling in my stomach and almost started crying when I ran past the merry go round and saw him sitting on this bench with some random kid. He had gotten on the merry go round when I wasn't looking. I was so mad but I couldn't help but laugh at him just sitting there on the merry go round. I quickly ran to tell everyone that he was found and we all sat and laughed at him as he went round and round.

The 3rd Friday in July

Every year I get so excited for the 3rd Friday in July which is the Nordstrom Sale!!! Ever since I was little my family and I would get up early and make sure we were at the Nordstrom Sale before the doors open at 7 a.m. I can't help but get so excited when my alarm goes off that morning and as we sait outside the doors for them to let us in. I have had a few weddings planned on or around the same day as the Nordstrom Sale each year but I always make it work so that I can still get to the Sale on time. I have also been pregnant twice and I made my sister try everything on for me. Last year my mom, sisters, and I went to San Francisco during the Sale and it was so great! There was no one there! Anyway, I started getting nervous on what to do with the kids but I went to the pre-sale today and got everything early! In order to keep Danny from going crazy, all I had to give him was some nilla wafers, 3 fruit leathers, fruit snacks, and a sucker. Although it wasn't the actual day of the sale, I still got so excited this morning. I am just happy that I don't have to go to Nordstrom the actual day of the sale because it will be a zoo! Yay for the pre-sale!!!

Will we ever be able to enjoy fireworks?

This is a picture of Danny 2 years ago. This was his first time watching fireworks. He didn't enjoy them too much.

This year we were so excited to get fireworks for Danny because we thought he would love them. We were wrong. I held Danny during some of them and he was shaking because he was so scared. I guess we will just have to try again next year.

Western Caribbean

My family (which included my parents, Uncle Craig, brothers, sisters and their spouses), Brian and I went on a Western Caribbean Cruise and it was a blast! Here are some pictures. I had about 1,000 to choose from so here are the favorites. You can just click on the picture to enlarge it.



This was everyone at the airport. This was just some random guy who my mom was sitting next to and they were totally matching. It was so funny.








One of my favorite parts of going on cruises is when we order pina coladas while the ship sails away. It was heaven. Oh and the really cute picture on the right is my sister, Lil and I dancing with a bunch of other people. We were the only ones who were not taking it seriously. People would stop dancing and just stare at us. It was so funny.

Right off the shore they had these water trampolines and by the end of the day, I had about 10 bruises from falling and wrestling with everyone.

The second picture is a picture of all of us with a sting ray. We swam with sting ray's. It was so fun but it freaked me out at the same time because they were so slimey and would rub up against your leg!

And of course we cant forget our family picture! One of our favorite things to do is look at all of the funny pictures that people get taken on the ship. This is us making fun of all those people.
